CORIOLISS PRO

Here is my review of the Corioliss Pro. Oh, and for those that don't know what that is, it is a professional straightening iron.  My review-I LOVE IT.  It's a ceramic iron that only takes a few seconds to heat up.  Also, it will not scorch your hair and you do not have to apply anything to your hair before using the irons.  You only have to go over your hair once, maybe twice with them, where as with the metal-plated irons you have to flatten you hair 2 or more times and the metal-plated irons can scorch your hair.  I do not have a relaxer but when I use my irons it looks as if I have a relaxer in my hair.  So they are great if The irons are pricey if you buy the from a retailer but some will offer you a good deal on them.  I bought mine in St. Louis for $160.00 and I got the stand for free.  You can also check sites like Amazon.com or eBay for lower prices.  And let me add, they can be used on all hair types and are safe to use on children's hair.

This is just an inexpensive recipe I remember from years ago that I thought I would share.  What you do is take a banana and slice it then place in bowl.  Then add a few tablespoons of honey.  Mix until smooth.  Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.  Apply mixture to face then rinse with warm water.  Do this once a week.  This will help with your complexion and will help remove bacteria from your pores.

MIXXED CHICKS

Okay, here's my review on MIXXED CHICKS shampoo, leave-in conditioner, and deep penetration conditioner.  The products are great.  I do have one problems though.  The shampoo dries my hair out.  Even after I condition my hair with the deep penetration conditioner, it's still dried out.  On the other hand, if I co-wash with the deep conditioner then apply the leave-in, my hair looks and feels great.  The conditioners also work well with other shampoos, such as Herbal Essence, Just For Me, etc.  I know because I use the products on mine and my daughters' hair.  Maybe MIXXED CHICKS should tweak the shampoo a little but if you are looking for a great inexpensive conditioner then MIXXED CHICKS is the way to go.  DON'T LET THE PRODUCT NAME FOOL YOU.  This product was made for ALL HAIR TYPES, NOT JUST MULTI-RACIAL HAIR.

MY RANT

I have taken part in conversations, recently and in the past, about black women.  So many people are saying, "black women are nasty" "black women have bad attitudes" "all black women are b*tches and hoes."  I was speaking with a male family member and he said to me "all black women are b*tches."  So I looked at him and asked, "So.....am I a bitch?"  He said, "No...I didn't mean you."  The thing is, so many people are bashing us, even our black men.  What black men don't realize is the same people that are bashing us are bashing them also.  They say we have nasty attitudes, when they speak to us we don't smile and speak back.  So what if we don't?  Does it mean the world is going to come to an end @ that very moment if we don't speak to you?  I don't think so.  So many black men keep saying sistas need to step up and do your part.  Well brothas, a lot of us have stepped up but you all don't want to recognize that.  A lot of the black men that complain about black women are also the ones that say they wouldn't date a black woman.  I, for one, don't really care if you don't want me because I'm a black woman.  If you are dating someone just because they are white, asian, or whatever, then you are with that person for the wrong reason and your relationship will fail.

I do agree with some of the things brothas say though.  Black women, for a while, for those of you that can, pull your wigs and hair pieces off, take the weave out, get rid of the relaxers.  Show your natural beauty.  Okay, the wigs and weaves can go back on but do you know what type of chemicals and poisons are in the relaxers that you put on your hair?  I can't pronounce them but I don't put that mess in my head.  I rock the natural and I'm loving it!!!  Whenever you put that mess in your hair it soaks into your body because it gets on your skin and the skin is going to absorb any type of liquid or cream that gets on it.  Even when you wear your hair natural you can always straighten it out by doing a blowout.  Also, brazilian relaxers are another option.  Their are some that are made of all natural ingredients and work just as well as a chemical relaxer.

I have so much more I would like to say but I will save it for another day,.  So until next time.....................

Natural Recipe For Blemishes

Recently I found a recipe for skin blemishes.  Amazingly I discovered I had all the ingredients in my kitchen and bathroom.  Well, I mixed the ingredients, stored the mix in a container and used it on my 11 yr old son's face.  He's started getting acne already, and this concoction has worked wonders.  To make this inexpensive blemish fighter all you need is 6 strawberries, 3 tbs witch hazel, and 2 tbs almond or jojoba oil.  Blend ingredients in a blender and store in a container in refrigerator.  Massage onto face once a day then rinse with warm water and pat dry.  Mixture should last up to 3 wks if kept refrigerated.
